MEETINGS ON TOP OF THE WORLD -
EXCLUSIVE SERVICE FOR EVERY EVENT AT BADRUTT’S PALACE HOTEL

ST. MORITZ, June, 2009 – The Engadine Mountains have been a source of inspiration for philosophers and artists for over 100 years. With 322 days of sunshine a year and the professional support of a personal Event Manager, every event becomes a highlight of the first degree. Badrutt’s Palace Hotel offers a unique combination of ambience and inimitable service.

Every guest is welcomed in their room not only by flowers but also a sweet welcome gift from the Patisserie. Complimentary amenities offered by Badrutt’s Palace Hotel include:

  • Transfers from the train station to the hotel
  • LAN Internet access
  • Access to the indoor and outdoor pools, Jacuzzi, and fitness centre
  • Refreshment bar, replenished daily
  • Movie channels and daily newspaper
  • Guests who book a minimum of two nights’ stay during the summer will receive complimentary tickets for all cable cars and local public transport within St. Moritz.

The five star resort is the ideal venue for any special occasion, whether it is a fashion show, exhibition, theatre performance, reception, ball or wedding. The hotel boasts a wide variety of function rooms:

The multifunctional Embassy Ballroom is built in the style of a theatre. It is suitable for medium to large events such as galas, themed parties, cocktail receptions, fashion shows, meetings, conferences, exhibitions and auctions. The splendid ballroom is approx. 390m2, ideal for up to 380 people with theatre style seating.

A real highlight is the Madonna Room with its fine wood carvings, stained glass windows and painting of the Sixtine Madonna. The 65m2 room is very pleasing with its special ambience, particularly for receptions and exhibitions.

The 15th Century Bergeller Stübli was once the private dining room of the Badrutt family. It was built into the hotel in one piece and is ideal for private dinners and wine tastings. Alfred Hitchcock is known to have sat here, discussing his next film projects with the Badrutt family.

Both the meeting rooms Roni Pieper 1 and 2 offer a classic ambience combined with state-of-the-art technology – perfect for Board meetings. New strategies can be discussed around the large, wooden, oval table and the spacious roof terrace with views over Lake St. Moritz provides the ideal set-up for a small coffee break. Both rooms offer a beamer (video projector), TV, radio and internet and can be joined to seat 60 people in theatre style.

As well as the function rooms the restaurants are also available for any event query, from “Chesa Veglia” through to “Le Restaurant” (16 Gault Millau points).

Did you know…? The Badrutt family were the first hoteliers to bring electricity to the Engadine valley. Today 80% of the hotel’s heating and electricity is acquired via a heat pump drawing energy from the water of Lake St. Moritz.
