ST. MORITZ - September 3, 2015: His name is Michel Jost. His nationality is Swiss. His passion is creating exclusive taste adventures. Badrutt's Palace Hotel's new executive chef will be the latest member of the team from the end of October 2015.

About Michel Jost

The Swiss chef, originally from Geneva, has dedicated his working life to cooking. Jost gained his experiences literally going right round the world: from South Africa to Israel and Spain, via Greece and a long sojourn in the United Arab Emirates.
In the UAE he was responsible for various restaurants as well as the planning and implementation of large scale events such as catering for the Formula 1 or the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2013. Under his leadership those restaurants gained many trade and media nominations and awards, above all for their exceptional Asian and International cuisine.

From an island in the Persian Gulf to the shimmering Alpine village of St. Moritz

On the lookout for a new challenge, Jost decided on the St. Moritz landmark - Badrutt's Palace Hotel. He explains the reasons for his decisions as follows:

"By delivering the absolute finest quality I want to contribute to the guest experience, so by experiencing creative culinary delights they pause for a while from the fast pace of today's society, and we gain recognition for this unique quality. It didn't take long for the unique atmosphere of Badrutt's Palace Hotel and also the strong team behind the hotel to convince me that I wanted to become part of the Palace family. As executive chef I am looking forward to the chance of creating the culinary experiences for this traditional hotel and also being able to represent it from this coming winter season."
