Richmond, BC Launches "It's All Here" Marketing Campaign

Richmond, BC, Canada: Want to know where to watch noodle-pulling, buy the best cigars, go whale-watching, or visit a Buddhist Temple? Richmond’s new micro-website, www.allinrichmond.com has just launched as the central hub of Tourism Richmond’s new marketing campaign, It’s All Here. Designed to encapsulate the essence of this diverse island urban city, the catchy premise of the site is “See it, Taste it, Get it, Book it”. Consumers will find tips on what to buy, see, and eat in Richmond, with dozens of nifty packages bookable online. Venue City for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and home to the Richmond Olympic Oval, Richmond is ready to receive the world in 2010.

Special online packages reflect Richmond’s culinary appeal, cosmopolitan shopping and “must-see” list of attractions. (http://allinrichmond.com/book-it/see-it-packages/) From 4-star luxury to casual, comfortable bed & breakfasts, packages range from golf to whale- watching, from family fun to a West Coast food and wine experiences.  With literally dozens of brand- name hotels and B&Bs offering enticing packages in Richmond, consumers’ visitors’ only dilemma will be in choosing where to stay, what to eat and how much shopping they can fit in.

A cornerstone of the marketing campaign is the local photo contest urging Richmondites to snap their favourite corner of the city and share it with the world. Winning shots from eight categories will become postcards for the Richmond campaign, to be mailed around the world enticing visitors to come explore and experience Richmond.

Taking advantage of Richmond’s multi-ethnic community, the It’s All Here marketing campaign highlights the variety of Asian and West Coast fare, from the Golden Village and local wineries, to Steveston’s Farmer’s Market and the legendary Summer Night Market. Alluring photos and descriptions of Richmond’s sites – from the Buddhist Temples, wildlife, and National Historic Sites, to the iconic Richmond Olympic Oval – uncover the City’s diverse attractions, while the Dragon Boat Festival and Maritime Festival are just some of the events on the rich calendar of activities.

Tourism Richmond is a non-profit, membership driven destination-marketing organization. Currently there are over 230 members associated with Tourism Richmond.
